She is a space and autonomy advocate, specializing in helping deep tech founders story tell technical visions to non-technical audiences like potential investors and employees. She is an advisor to Xona Space Systems, bringing position, navigation and timing to support the age of autonomy and a Non-Executive Director at Opteran Technologies, building the software platform for autonomous machine performance based on the natural intelligence of insect brains. She helps startups at the Seraphim Space Camp Accelerator and AWS Space Accelerator. Rafferty has taken technology and CPG companies through hyper-growth, investments, global expansion, mergers, acquisitions and IPO from the Beats by Dr. Dre brand sale to Apple Inc. for $3B (including Beats Music), to The North Face and Vans brands reaching over $1B in sales in North America, to taking Ubiquity Software public on the Alternative Investment Market on the London Stock Exchange and selling it to Avaya, Inc.
